Principal Engineer
Job Summary:
Take lead on various engineering efforts in an advanced InP BH laser fab, including process development, yield improvement, trouble shooting, tool qualification, etc.

Responsibilities:​​

Design and DOE to develop processes (photolithography, chemical etch, film deposition) for new products. Define process specification and qualify the process for production.

Develop metrology methods to characterize and monitor processes. Continuously improve existing processes to reduce fluctuation and improve process yield.

Work with product engineers to correlate process data with final product yield. Identify critical steps and conduct continuous improvement to improve product yield.

Troubleshoot any issues occurring in production. Investigate root cause and develop solutions.

Work with equipment team and help maintain process equipment. Participate in new equipment selection. Lead the process development and qualification on new equipment.
Requirements:

MS or PhD (preferred) in electrical engineering, material, chemistry, or mechanical engineering.

More than 8 years’ experience working in semiconductor fab

Comprehensive understanding on process and metrology technologies, including photolithography, chemical etch, film deposition, SEM, EDS, etc.

Demonstrated good records of process development and maintenance.

Has experience to define and prepare work instructions.

Excellent communication skills, able to mentor junior engineers and train technicians
